Maturity Models

The Maturity Models are available to assess all areas of an organization’s operations, moving from visitor-focused (external) to staff-focused (internal):

All Maturity Models (Word.docx) are also available in a single document.  This is designed for screen reader users or those who prefer to use all of the sections together.  

Workbook

  • Use the Self-Study Workbook (PDF or Word .docx) to explore current museum and nonprofit DEIA standards.  It offers examples of what different levels look like at various types of organizations.  It can be used to answer questions that may come up when completing the Maturity Models and offer space to reflect before moving on to the next phase.
