Rosenbach Museum and Library

The Rosenbach’s adjacent 1860s townhouses provide an intimate setting for an expanding collection of nearly 400,000 rare books, manuscripts, and fine and decorative artist objects, dating from the 6th century B.C.E. to the present day.

One of our founders Dr. Rosenbach bought his first rare book at the age of 12! The Rosenbach recognizes that art and literature can be remarkably inspiring for a child. The museum aims to engage learners of all ages with its collections through its work with local schools and the creation of a series of special family programs.

The Rosenbach offers a wide variety of programs and events to engage visitors in the museum’s remarkable and expanding collection and inspire curiosity, inquiry, and creativity.
